Pipe Clamp Comparison Guide by Mounting Height

When choosing our pipe fasteners, aside from the compatible pipe diameter Ø (mm), the height at which you wish to secure the pipe from the mounting surface is a key decision-making point.

In this article, we will organize and compare our product lineup based on differences in mounting height.

What You’ll Learn in This Article

• The differences in mounting height across our three product models

• Guidelines for the height from the mounting surface to the center of the pipe

• Changes in height when selecting a vibration-damping type

What Is Mounting Height for Pipe Fastening?

The term "mounting height" in this article refers to the distance from the mounting surface to the bottom of the pipe. It affects not just visual position adjustments, but also avoiding interference with surrounding components and routing piping layouts, making it a critical criterion when selecting products.

Fastening Methods to Choose By Mounting Height

1. Resin Saddle Band

Mounting Height = Height of the base section (H)

Guidelines: 5mm/7mm (Adjustments in 5mm increments are possible when used with the Resin Saddle Band Base)

Ideal for compact, low-profile fastening at the lowest possible position from the mounting surface.

【Guidelines for Height from Mounting Surface to Pipe Center】

• Standard Type: Base Height (H) + (Compatible Pipe Diameter Ø ÷ 2)

• Vibration-Damping Type: Base Height (H) + (Compatible Pipe Diameter Ø ÷ 2) - Rubber Thickness (approx. 3mm)

2. Resin Pipe Clamp with T-Bracket

Mounting Height = 35mm (Height of the Resin T-Bracket)

Ideal for installations that require a slightly higher profile than the resin saddle band while saving space.

【Guidelines for Height from Mounting Surface to Pipe Center】

• Standard Type: 35mm + (Compatible Pipe Diameter Ø ÷ 2)

• Vibration-Damping Type: 35mm + (Compatible Pipe Diameter Ø ÷ 2) - Rubber Thickness (approx. 3mm)

3. Resin Pipe Clamp Bracket Set

Mounting Height = Length of the Resin Bracket (L)

Guideline: 50mm~ (Can be cut to size)

Ideal for securing a sufficient distance from the mounting surface and making custom, adjustable installations.

【Guidelines for Height from Mounting Surface to Pipe Center】

• Standard Type: Bracket Length (L) + (Compatible Pipe Diameter Ø ÷ 2)

• Vibration-Damping Type: Bracket Length (L) + (Compatible Pipe Diameter Ø ÷ 2) - Rubber Thickness (approx. 3mm)

Precautions When Using Vibration-Damping Types

Vibration-damping types have rubber bonded to the interior, so compared to standard types, the center position of the pipe is lower toward the mounting surface by the thickness of the rubber (typically 3mm*). For designs requiring precise height adjustments, please account for this difference.

* Some compatible diameters use 5mm-thick rubber.

Summary

• For a low-profile installation: Resin Saddle Band

• For a slightly elevated installation: Resin Pipe Clamp with T-Bracket

• For securing a sufficient distance: Resin Pipe Clamp Bracket Set

By selecting the optimal height to match your installation environment, you can achieve a sleek, efficient piping layout.
