Benefits of Anti-Vibration Products for Secure Installation

In addition to our standard products, we also offer anti-vibration products. Because the available size range, holding force, and suitable applications differ, we’ve put together a guide to help you decide which one to choose.

What you’ll learn in this article

  • Basic differences between the standard type and the anti-vibration type
  • Points to note about slipperiness and shifting
  • How to think about load capacity and reference values

Differences between the standard type and the anti-vibration type

Type Standard type Anti-vibration type
Structure Plastic only Bonded with grooved anti-vibration rubber on the inside
Size Pipe size
Complies with domestic JIS standards
Detailed size range including 1mm increments
Adjustable in 0.5mm increments
Holding force Support and retention Fixing
Applications Lightweight items, cost-focused installation Anti-shift prevention, locations with vibration

Notes on the standard type

Under the following conditions, the standard type may not provide sufficient fixing.

  • Pipe surfaces made of slippery materials (stainless steel pipe, painted pipe, etc.)
  • Environments subject to vibration or impact
  • Installations where the load is concentrated at a single point

These are intended for retention and support, and are not suitable for strong clamping fixation.

Benefits of the anti-vibration type

  • Size compatibility: A size range including 1mm increments makes it compatible with non-standard pipes
  • Scratch prevention: The contact surface is rubber, so it protects the surface of the object firmly
  • Grip: Secures even slippery materials firmly and helps prevent shifting

How to think about load capacity

Load capacity varies greatly depending on the mounting direction, how the load is applied, and the usage environment. Also, for the anti-vibration type, the adhesive sheet and rubber thickness differ by size. For that reason, it is not possible to state definitively that it can be used up to ○kg. Please use the following as a guideline based on mounting direction.

When the load is applied in a hanging direction

To prevent shifting or falling off, we recommend using the anti-vibration type.

When the load is applied vertically, as if set on top

Depending on the conditions, the standard type may still be sufficient, but for safe use, please consider installing it at multiple points.

Summary

If cost and ease of installation are your priorities, the standard type is recommended. If secure fixing and scratch prevention are your priorities, the anti-vibration type is recommended. Please choose the product type that best suits your application.
